DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Departure. Your vacation begins with an overnight flight to Prague.
Day 2: Prague (CZE). Following arrival and hotel check-in we take a walking guided tour of the "City of a Hundred Golden Towers". Walk through magical labyrinthine streets in Old Town, admire Charles Bridge in stone from 1357 with a beautiful view of Prague's Hradcany Castle and see the fascinating movement of the Apostles together with other mobile figures of the Astronomical Clock at the Town Hall (1364). One who visits this incredible city always wants to return. In the evening, acquaint yourself with each other at a welcome dinner of Bohemian specialties including a famous Czech beer. (WD)
Day 3: Prague (CZE). Accompanied by a qualified guide, tour charming Lesser Quarter (Mala Strana), Wenceslas Square, National Theater, Vysehrad fortress, Slavonic Island and Strahov Monastery. We walk through the Hradcany quarter with many wonderful palaces, see Prague Castle (founded in 870-890), former seat of kings and a seat of the Czech president today, St. Vitus Cathedral, Golden Lane and walk down the Old Castle Stairs. If you want, you can take a rest in the beautiful Castle Gardens and see the Singing Fountain and Belvedere, the Royal Summer Palace. The rest of the day is free. Ask your Tour Director to help you choose one of the many cultural programs for tonight. Do you prefer a concert, opera, ballet, music show or visit some theater, Rock, Jazz or Country Club, Discotheque or original Bohemia pub? (B)
Day 4: Vienna (AUT). This morning we depart to Vienna, another one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Think of the imperial Hofburg Palace and magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, the glorious buildings along Ring-strasse, and the vintners' villages on the outskirts with the Heurigen taverns. Think of "Kiss your hand, madam" and purveyors to the court. No other city in Europe has been an imperial residence for centuries and still shows off so much of that heritage today. A qualified local guide will escort us around the city. In the evening you can explore fabulous Vienna Scene: State Opera, Burgtheater, Prater, discos, cabarets, bars and clubs. (B)
Day 5: Vienna (AUT), Budapest (HUN). This day is free in Vienna. In the evening we go to Budapest, the "Bright Capital on the Danube". Budapest reveals medieval treasures hidden amongst a lively gypsy atmosphere. Why not taste wonderful Hungarian cuisine tonight? (B)
Day 6: Budapest (HUN), Bratislava (SLK). This morning, accompanied by a local qualified guide we discover this remarkable city. There are world famous Parliament buildings, Hero's Square, Liberty Square, Buda Castle, Fishermen's Bastion, Matthias Church. The rest of day is at leisure. Join an optional boat ride on the Danube River, go shopping or simply explore Budapest on your own. In the evening we go to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. (B)
Day 7: Bratislava (SLK), Prague (CZE). An orientation walk takes us through a charming recently renovated city center (mainly from 14th century). Enjoy a beautiful view of Bratislava Castle, the Grassalkovich Palace, seat of Slovak president, National Theater, Michael's Gate, Old Townhall, Primacialny Palace, Maxmilian's Fountain on the Main Square and other sights. After a free program we head back to Prague in the afternoon. Then is time to enjoy a farewell dinner tonight. (B, FD)
Day 8: Prague / RETURN HOME. The last breakfast and then we head to Prague airport for your flight home. (B)
